Miller Goodall was established in 2004 by Joanne Miller and Lesley Goodall, both of whom have vast experience in acoustics and air quality.

Meet The Team
Lesley GoodallLesley qualified as an EHO in 1990 and holds a postgraduate Diploma in Acoustics and a Masters in Environmental Protection. Lesley's role within the company encompasses all business areas but she has a specific interest in air quality and industrial pollution control. She is a member of the Institute of Air Quality Management, the Institute of Acoustics and the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health. She is trained to use ADMS Roads and ADMS5 and is a registered sound insulation tester under the Association of Noise Consultants Scheme. Lesley enjoys spending time with her family, walking and cycling.
Amy Van De SandeAmy joined the company as a graduate Air Quality Consultant and will be assisting in the completion of air quality assessments. Amy has a masters in MSc Air Pollution Management and Control and is an associate of the Institute of Air Quality Management. In her spare time, Amy enjoys the outdoors and spending time with friends and family.
Karen MelhuishKaren is our Office Manager. Having previously worked for both leading property and legal companies Karen utilises her experience to manage the office and is often the first point of contact for clients. Karen deals with both accounts and marketing and provides excellent support to ensure the smooth running of the team. She has previously managed her own business and has an interest in fitness and well-being.
Jo MillerJo qualified as an EHO in 1990 and quickly specialised in environmental protection. She has an MBA and a Masters in Acoustics. Her role covers all consultancy activities with a particular focus on acoustics. Jo is a member of the a Institute of Acoustics and the Chartered Institue of Environmental Health. She is also a registered sound insulation tester under the Association of Noise Consultants' scheme, and a member of its membership steering group. Jo is trained to use CadnaA computer noise modelling and has provided expert witness evidence for planning and public entertainment licence appeals. When time permits, Jo is a keen golfer, hockey player and runner.
Michael RickardMichael joined Miller Goodall at the start of 2017, bringing his broad experience in acoustic consultancy across many sectors to the team. Michael holds a postgraduate Diploma in Acoustics and is an Associate of the Institute of Acoustics. His portfolio includes a number of prestigious international projects and he has a strong background in the areas of environmental noise and room acoustics modelling. He also has an active interest in music studio and entertainment venue acoustics and is an ardent electronic music producer.
Colin FosterColin joined Miller Goodall in June 2013 and is a highly experienced acoustic consultant. Colin is a corporate member of IOA with degree in electroacoustics from Salford University. Colin has more than 15 years experience in acoustic consultancy in UK and Australia. Colin specialises in architectural acoustics, in particular media and performing arts. He also has vast experience in environmental, building services and noise control, modelling, planning, transportation and speech intelligibility. He is a keen musician and walker.
Dave PoleyDave is an experienced Senior Manager and Environmental Health Officer who has joined the Miller Goodall team of consultants. Dave has considerable experience in all areas of pollution control including environmental permitting, acoustics, air quality and climate change, waste minimisation and recycling and emergency planning. Dave is a member of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (MCIEH) and Member of the Institute of Acoustics (MIOA).
Austin CouperthwaiteAustin joined us at the beginning of March under the apprenticeship scheme with the MOJO Trust, he is currently working towards achieving a NVQ level 2 in business administration. He is a keen artist in particular illustrations and also plays the drums in a hard rock band.
Gareth WilloxGareth Willox has joined Miller Goodall in the role of acoustic technician. Gareth has 10 years' experience in sound design and system engineering and has worked extensively as a sound engineer in musical theatre and recording studios. He is currently studying with the Institute of Acoustics to gain a diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control. Gareth is a member of the Institute of Physics MisntP and of the Association of Sound Designers. In his spare time he is a keen cyclist and skier.
Stephen MaslivecStephen re-joined Miller Goodall in February 2017. Stephen has considerable experience in the environmental protection field, planning and noise and in pollution prevention control. He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (MCIEH) and is a fully qualified Environmental Health Officer with over 35 years experience. Stephen is keen on all sports and he plays tennis and badminton. His current passion is crown green bowling.
